LASU Strike: Students announce own resumption date.
Students of the Lagos State University (LASU) have fixed January 5, 2011 as their own resumption date. Mr Agboola Seriki, Public Relations Officer of the institution’s Students Union, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos, on Sunday. NAN reported on Sunday that the students took the action even as the institution’s striking lecturers and the state government were yet to agree on terms to end the over three month strike embarked upon by the lecturers.
“We have resorted to announcing our own resumption date owing to the failure of the state government and the striking lecturers to agree on terms to end the crisis.
