““The National Executive Councils of both the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria simultaneously met yesterday (Wednesday) and concluded jointly that the strike will commence on Monday 9th and would be total. Mass rallies, protests etc will accompany the national strike, which is indefinite. As a matter of fact, the Nigerian airspace and seaports will not be accessible to both domestic and international movements from 12midnight on Sunday,” the statement reads in part.
