The swearing in of first female Chief Justice of Nigeria(CJN) Justice Aloma Mariam Mukthar
The first female Chief Justice of Nigeria(CJN),Justice Aloma Mariam Mukthar was yesterday sworn in as the 13th indigenous Chief Justice of Nigeria(CJN). The Senate, last week Wednesday, confirmed her nomination and forwarded to it by President Jonathan as required by the constitution.
Justice Mukhtar is taking over from Justice Dahiru Musdapher who officially retired on Sunday at the mandatory age of 70.
