Gbajabiamila given 14-day ultimatum to resign
The south west section of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has issued a 14 days ultimatum to Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, the House of Representatives Minority Leader, to resign his membership of the lower chamber of the National Assembly.
The ultimatum was given by the party in a release issued by its Zonal Publicity Secretary, Hon. Kayode Babade.
The most honourable thing to do is to vacate the seat in the House of Representatives, since he has admitted that he was sanctioned by the Georgia Supreme Court for professional misconduct and negligence.
On February 26, 2007 the Supreme Court of Georgia, US suspended Gbajabiamila from practicing law for 36months according to advertorials in the newspapers. The PDP said it’s absurd that Gbajabianila could be using the House of Reps impeachment plot against President Goodluck Jonathan as a defence for his past.
Gbajabiamila, is an Action Congress of Nigerian(CAN) lawmaker in the House of Representatives. He admitted violating the Rule 1.15(I) of the Goergia Rules of professional conduct set forth in Bar Rule 4-102(d) in respect of a $25,000 settlement claim.
