Usain Bolt wins gold in men’s 4×100 metres relay.Nigeria disqualified in women’s relay

The “legendary” Usain Bolt capped his new status with a stunning performance which saw his team win  gold in the men’s 4×100 metres relay in a world record time of 36.84 seconds.

Bolt who the ran the anchor leg for the Jamaican team received the baton from teammate Yohan Blake and then left behind of Ryan Bailey of the United States to reach the finish line ahead of the field.

The United States won the silver in 37.04 seconds, a new national record. Canada finished the race third but was disqualified, giving the bronze to Trinidad and Tobago.
